HEALTH CENTRE LO MARABU
This Wednesday the 23rd of March at 12.30, the President of The Valencian Government Francisco Camps, will be inaugurating the new health centre. This is the first time this President has visited Rojales and a good turnout of residents might help him to remember his visit when the Mayor asks him for grants in the future. This Health Centre is without doubt the best of its kind in the province and we are very fortunate that the Mayor has managed to achieve this project as he promised before the last election. It would be nice if the Brits showed their appreciation by turning up for the inauguration.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
The National Speed Limit in Spain and been reduced to 110kph (68Mph). Although many speed signs have not yet been changed please bare this in mind.
Also, It appears the Police in Ciudad Quesada, Rojales and Benijofar have been very busy last weekend. They are certainly clamping down on drivers that have brought a car and have not yet transferred it into their name. May i remind/inform you that the law gives you just 15 days to do this. I have had 4 cases this week from the Quesada area of fines of 450.00 Euros for not doing so. The government claim this new speed limit will save you up to 16% in fuel. I drive a ford focus 2.0 and yesterday i took the test using the onboard fuel efficiency computer. turns out at 110kph i do 6.4 liters per 100km. at 122kph i do 4.2ltrs. Anyone else feeling this is just nonsense?

GOLF NEWS
Miguel Angel Jimenez the charismatic Spanish golfer will be inaugurating the street named in his honor, this Sunday at 5.30pm.
It would be nice if the local golfing community turned out in force to show their appreciation for him taking time out from his busy schedule. The event will take place near the roundabout by the Bull Flanagan. This will round off the Pro Am tournament which is taking place on sunday morning.
Sounds like a nice event that we would like to go to, but could someone let me know where the Bull Flanagan is.

ROJALES FIESTA

Last year we went to the Rojales fiesta and loved it. How can I find out what fiesta's are on and times etc?
Hi, the next Fiesta in Rojales is the Royal Wedding in the Market Place on the 29th April, starting 11am The Wedding will be shown on a large screen as well.
All the other ones throughout the year are listed in the TownHall in Rojales they are all very helpful there and speak English as well there are also the posters, banners etc.
I'm looking forward to the Royal wedding it promises to be a great event, then on the 17th of May is the Romeria of San Isidro which takes place at the recorral park. If you've never been you will be amazed. Thousands of people take over the park for the day and theres all sorts of entertainment laid on.
Fiesta Moros y Cristianos starts 19th of June and goes on for 2 weeks. The last weekend will display the parades, fireworks etc. See you all there
